Regaining Control of the Corporate Network to Ensure Business Processes
sponsored by Blue Coat
Premiered:  16 Apr 2009
Language:  English
ABSTRACT:
Most enterprises only know about half or less of the applications running on their corporate networks. Most are paying high costs for non-productive uses of Internet and WAN bandwidth and forced to take on network expansion at a faster rate than necessary. At the same time, critical applications are slowing or completely impaired at branch offices and slowing or curtailing important business processes. The existing packet network is not capable of providing application knowledge or prioritizing and accelerating business-critical applications while stopping malicious ones and intelligently controlling less important or recreational ones.

As your employees, customers and partners become increasingly mobile and globalized, continued success depends upon getting each person the right information at the right time - safely. In this informative videocast hear first-hand how the Application Development Network (ADN) works to meet this critical business need both today and in the future. Join Blue Coat Systems CEO Brian NeSmith as he discusses how the ADN brings together Application Performance Monitoring, WAN Optimization and Secure Web Gateway technologies to deliver the visibility, acceleration, and security that enables enterprises to align network resources with business goals. You'll discover how to gain a competitive advantage as you:

  • See and measure your IT and business processes more clearly
  • Determine (and solve) the network impact of recreational surfing
  • Accelerate information and business results across the distributed enterprise
  • Secure data and protect users anywhere at anytime

You'll also acquire valuable insight on important issues ranging from the impact of server consolidation on application delivery, to the delivery of real-time voice and video, SaaS, and SOA. During the videocast you'll similarly discover how this new layer of intelligent control helps secure against malware, data leaks, and costly performance degradation.
