ABSTRACT:

Today’s threats are quickly evolving, moving away from mass attacks to more targeted ones, using a complex range of techniques to penetrate reactive security and cause great harm. Traditional defenses do not stand a chance against these modern-day threats so it imperative that organizations take a more proactive and preventative approach.

This resource explores how the role of integrity control plays in defending networks against malicious attacks, focusing on two key areas:

  • Controlling what applications are allowed to run;
  • And protecting systems on the network from configuration changes and mistakes that allow vulnerabilities to be exposed.
